BE Status Updates will be posted here.
Jan 6 - 9am: Files have been salvaged off of the failed machine and transferred to the backupserver. You may connect as usual to mud.burning-eye.net 4000. Please make sure to note Eru & Aule if your pfile is missing.
Jan 5 - 6am-ish: CPU failure on primary server. The game files will need to be transferred to the backup server. Likely resolution 12-24 hours.
As of January 3, 2009 at 9am PST, the BE is unavailable due to either a power outage or a failed IP update. I expect Eru to become available and resolve the problem within the next 12 hours.
10am - The BE is returned to normal operating status.

While the real thing is down, you're all free to stop by the testserver at test.burning-eye.net : 5001
Its running a outdated set of pfiles and nothing that you do there will count on the real thing, but you are free to log in, play around, lose your corpses, chat with eachother, etc.

Back online. Server itself was supplied by the battery backup system, so no crash. If you left anything in the world it should still be there.
