Thief

Thieves are specialists at maneuvering and manipulating. They have the
easiest time learning mechanical skills such as picking locks and disarming
traps. They are unusually adept at sneaking and hiding. They may wear heavy armour, although it may on rare occasions interfere with their skills and abilities.

They do few things better than any other class, but have the
widest range of skills available. Thieves are specialists at covert
actions, being capable of entering areas undetected where more powerful
adventurers would fear to tread. They are also capable of stealing kills
from other players. They know every dirty trick from booby trap to punji
stick; they don’t need the strength of thirty, they can win by playing
dirty.

All thieves begin with the dagger combat skill, and are learned in
stealing. Any other weapon skills must be purchased, unless the default
selection is chosen.
